Putting Pride Together

It all started with a letter…

G… for go…

And soon after,

S… for slow…

Out from the snow, a cold lion desired to grow,

Much of life… it could not know,

Bothered, yet inspired, the lion did grow

—

Though many times he relied on a sign or sine…

Visions of life on the line,

Or times hearing words like “you are my sunshine”

—

As time proceeded and the lion’s ego conceded,

The lion came to know a truth indeed,

Words of love from those who rose above – shine like light in a gold mind,

And like the mind, if touched, a heart grown cold may warm back to gold,

Once we are told, so blessed we are to behold and hold dearly in deed.

—

It all started with a letter… like a title or deed…

It continues to grow and evolve – as the world revolves… eternally…

No chance in the world it will stop… it will surely succeed,

Or at the very least, breed opportunity for another: on deck to succeed

—

This young lion is building his pride with new domain to reign,

This young lion believes his pride to be your pride too,

This is true, because by love and grace,

You and I coexist and coincide; within and without this space.

—

All that we must do while this is true – is choose to love and be true to you,

Speak the truth and create from the heart, everything we do will be a work of art.

—

Whoever you are or aren’t,

No doubt, I am glad you’re here,

My words, though not always clear, are sure to be sincere.

If you want to… together… we can go far

Speak truth so clear and love so dear – that God may tear – whether there or here
